ABOUT THE FACULTY ADVISORS

Dr. Sarah A. Lechago (pictured left) is a Professor in the Behavior Analysis master’s program at the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL). She received her Ph.D. in 2009 from Western Michigan University. She is the founder and director of the UHCL Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) Verbal Behavior Clinic (VBC) and Verbal Behavior Clinic-Telehealth (VBC-T). She is also the co-founder and co-director of the UHCL Connecting the Dots (CTD) program. She is the director of the Verbal Behavior Research Lab (VBRL) and Behavior Analysts for Diversity Inclusion and Equity (BADIE) lab.

Dr. Dorothea C. Lerman (pictured center) is a Professor of Behavior Analysis at UHCL, where she directs the master’s program in behavior analysis and serves as Director of the UHCL Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. She received her doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in 1995, specializing in behavior analysis. Her areas of expertise include autism, developmental disabilities, early intervention, functional analysis, teacher and parent training, and treatment of behavior disorders.

Dr. Jennifer N. Fritz (pictured right) is a Professor of Behavior Analysis. She received her Ph.D. in 2008 from the University of Florida. Dr. Fritz serves as director of the BRIDGE (Behavior Reduction Interventions for Growth and Empowerment) program at UHCL's Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities where graduate and undergraduate students learn valuable clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of behavior disorders. In addition, she is the director of the Intensive Outpatient Behavior Reduction Clinic (IOP) at UHCL-Pearland and is co-founder and co-director of the Connecting the Dots caregiver training program. She also directs the Functional Analysis and Intervention Research (FAIR) Lab in which graduate students conduct and discuss research related to reduction of challenging and complex behavior.
